Your support will help us bring
Climate on Board

By donating to the Friends of Climate Governance fund you can help us achieve our mission by directly supporting a specific project we are focusing on.

The current project you can support will enable Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to act on climate change, reduce their emissions and build their resiliency - through a practical and tailored online learning platform, designed specifically for SMEs.

Helping SMEs in Europe to build resiliency and act on climate change
SMEs need to prepare for the transition

Climate change is and will continue to bring significant risks to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including disruptions to supply chains, increased regulatory pressure, changing consumer preferences and access to capital.  The risks will impact the operations, profitability, and long-term sustainability of SMEs.

The world needs SMEs on board to tackle Climate Change

According to the European Commission, SMEs account for over 99% of all businesses in the European Union (EU) and collectively represent 63% of emissions from enterprises.

The Board plays a key role

Addressing climate change will be crucial for SMEs to safeguard their business success, reputation, and competitiveness in an evolving economic and regulatory landscape. Boards of directors of SMEs have a fiduciary duty to protect the interests of their companies and stakeholders, including managing climate-related risks and opportunities.

Increased awareness and engagement, with your support

This project brings climate competence to the Boards of SMEs in a practical and easy to digest manner through an online, interactive learning program.  The course will be offered for a minor,  accessible fee and will be offered first in French, Dutch and English, and can eventually be translated into other European languages to increase impact.

This project is supported through a "Friends of Fund" account at the King Baudouin Foundation.

This Fund was set up on the initiative of two of our supporters and aims to support Climate Governance in a structural and sustainable way by financing projects of the organisation.

The fiscal receipt for all your donations to the Foundation will be sent to you at the end of February of the following year.
